Vermont Renaissance Festival

Thursday, May 20th, 2004

Despite a very busy summer schedule, I have managed to squeeze in a run at the Vermont Renaissance Festival which is taking place in Guilford, VT on the weekends of June 26-27, July 3-4 and July 10-11. As I am the featured entertainment at a festival in Maine for the first weekend, you will find me in Vermont only for the latter two weekends and I will be the featured act for the third and final weekend.

I’ve developed a unique new visual piece specifically for the medieval crowd which should be a huge hit. Be sure to come by and check it out!

Improvisation at Fairleigh Dickinson University

Tuesday, May 4th, 2004

Here’s a quick hello and thanks to the students and faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University who made my visit and performance there last night so very enjoyable and interesting.

I was invited to give an intimate lecture and performance in the evening and it turned out to be a very comfortable, relaxed but still characteristically bizarre evening. I improvised with a fair amount of psychological manipulations and accomplished the goal of not only entertaining but also of educating and effectively freaking out the students, which they seemed to enjoy immensely.

I hope that you all have some new ideas to think about artistically and that you keep pushing forward with your inquisitive attitudes. You’re a great group!

Beltaine Feast ‘04

Monday, May 3rd, 2004

I was pleased to take part in the Beltaine Feast at the Phoenix Roost Tavern this past Saturday, May 1st. It was hands down an absolute success which saw a wide variety of new guests and many repeat guests and regulars.

The event featured not only myself doing a wide variety of walk-around entertainment, fire eating and a sword swallowing routine, but also the incredible music of Silent Lion, stories and songs by Maggie Crawford and of course the reason for it all, the exceptional cooking of the Tavern Keeper Glenn Crawford and his Sous Chef Daniel McCarthy.

Perhaps the most smooth and flawless feast to date, it was a perfect and intimate way to celebrate the start of the newest feasting season.

For those that haven’t yet made it to a feast, be sure to check out the Phoenix Roost at the Vermont Renn Festival this year from June 26th to July 11th! (festival runs on weekends)
