Beltaine Feast ‘04
May 3rd, 2004 by Roderick RussellI was pleased to take part in the Beltaine Feast at the Phoenix Roost Tavern this past Saturday, May 1st. It was hands down an absolute success which saw a wide variety of new guests and many repeat guests and regulars.
The event featured not only myself doing a wide variety of walk-around entertainment, fire eating and a sword swallowing routine, but also the incredible music of Silent Lion, stories and songs by Maggie Crawford and of course the reason for it all, the exceptional cooking of the Tavern Keeper Glenn Crawford and his Sous Chef Daniel McCarthy.
Perhaps the most smooth and flawless feast to date, it was a perfect and intimate way to celebrate the start of the newest feasting season.
For those that haven’t yet made it to a feast, be sure to check out the Phoenix Roost at the Vermont Renn Festival this year from June 26th to July 11th! (festival runs on weekends)
