What happened to you at nameserver just happened to me at godaddy. We were set to autorenew and somehow it got disabled when it was set to autorenew and we lost our domain. Not in such a bad place as you but I would not mind getting a hold of some dirt on this guy. It sucks that people will simply buy up a name as squat on it with the hopes that they can extort someone for it. It is for this reason that I believe names should cost much more than they do. Sure it would suck to pay, but many good names would be free, and rat-bastard jerks like this guy would have much less incentive to buy lapsed domains and squat on them.
